Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton is battling to be fit for the FA Cup final after missing this weekend’s clash with Spurs.

Oliver Glasner has confirm the England midfielder is too sore to train this week after Wharton was force off during the draw with Nottingham Forest with an ankle ligament injury.

Wharton appeared to be in good spirits สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน at Crystal Palace’s training ground on Friday and Glasner said he was hopeful the midfielder would be back in time to face Manchester City at Wembley next weekend.

“Unfortunately he’s not available because he hasn’t trained all week, so if everything goes well, we hope he’ll be back in training on Monday after Tottenham, at least partially,” Glasner said.

“Then on Wednesday, when we start preparing for the final, I hope he will be able to train with us.”

“For me, it’s 90 per cent possible that he can play (in the final), but things can happen. But it’s too early to play against Spurs on Sunday.”

“He’s in too much pain. It’s not something to risk. He’s got a little bit of a tendon injury and when he has to run or turn his foot, it hurts too much.”
