Maresca headache as loan players return to Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca could have a headache managing players returning from loan spells this summer.

The Blues are face Real Betis in the Conference League semi-final on May 28 after beating Djurgardens 5-1 on aggregate on Thursday, while in the Premier League they are fifth, the final place in the Champions League, with three games remaining.

The future of one of those players is in doubt as the club he is on loan with reports suggesting he is not interest in signing him permanently.

The Ufabet reports that Axel Disasi has failed to impress Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and the French defender will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of his loan spell.

Villa paid £5million on loan in February to bring in the 27-year-old defender, however he fell out of favour and did not feature for the team last week at Fulham.

Disasi is find himself out of favour when he returns to London, with Chelsea keen to offload former Tottenham defender to raise funds for further reinforcements, according to reports.

A further 14 loan players are return to the Blues this summer, including Joao Felix (AC Milan), Raheem Sterling (Arsenal) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (Bournemouth), while David Washington, who has joined Santos on loan until December, is on the cards.

Felix and Sterling failed to impress during their loan spells, but Kepa has continued to play a key role for the Cherries.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Real Madrid but could be an alternative to Chelsea in place of Robert Sanchez, who has faced criticism for his form this season.
